കരിങ്കൽ ക്വാറി.. : ആശങ്കകൾ അടിസ്ഥാന രഹിതമെന്ന് ജില്ലാ കലക്ടർ

 ഇതു സംബന്ധിച്ച ജില്ലാ കലക്ടറുടെ മാധ്യമ പ്രസ്താവന:

   മുട്ടിൽ മലയിൽ ക്വാറി  തുറക്കാൻ പോകുന്നു എന്നും അത്‌ ജനജീവിതത്തെ പ്രതികൂലമായി ബാധിക്കുമെന്നും ഉള്ള ആശങ്ക ചില കോണുകളിൽ നിന്ന് ഉയരുന്നുണ്ട്‌.  ഇത്തരം ആശങ്കകൾ അടിസ്ഥാന രഹിതമാണ്. പുതിയ അപേക്ഷകൾ ജില്ലാ കളക്ടറുടെ പരിഗണനയിൽ ഇല്ല. ജില്ലയിൽ ക്വാറികളുടെ പ്രവർത്തനം നിർത്തിവെച്ചിട്ടുള്ളത്‌ ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട സുപ്രീം കോടതിയുടെ ഉത്തരവിനെ തുടർന്നാണ്‌. കൂടാതെ ജില്ലാ ദുരന്ത നിവാരണ അതോറിറ്റിയുടെ ഉത്തരവും ഇക്കാര്യത്തിൽ ജില്ലയിലെ ചില മേഖലകളിൽ ബാധകമാണ്‌. ദുരന്ത നിവാരണ അതോറിറ്റിയുടെ ഉത്തരവിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടാത്ത സ്ഥലത്ത്‌ പ്രവർത്തനം തുടങ്ങാൻ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നതും പാരിസ്ഥിതിക അനുമതി ഉള്ളതും, കൂടാതെ എക്സ്പ്ലോസീവ്‌ അനുമതി,  ഫയർ ആൻഡ്‌ റെസ്ക്യു അനുമതി, ഡി ആന്റ്‌ ഒ അനുമതി,  മലിനീകരണ നിയന്ത്രണ ബോർഡിന്റെ അനുമതി മുതലായവ ഉള്ള ക്വാറികൾക്ക്‌ മാത്രമേ  പ്രവർത്തിക്കാനാവൂ. പാരിസ്ഥിതിക അനുമതി നൽകുന്നതിനുള്ള വ്യവസ്ഥകൾ പൂർണമായും പാലിച്ചാൽ മാത്രമേ ക്വാറികൾക്ക്‌  പാരിസ്ഥിതിക അനുമതി ലഭിക്കുകയുമുള്ളൂ. ബഹുമാനപ്പെട്ട സുപ്രീം കോടതി വിധിയും നിയമ വ്യവസ്ഥ്കളും പൂർണ്ണമായും അനുസരിച്ച്‌ മാത്രമേ ഏതൊരു ക്വാറിക്കും പ്രവർത്തന അനുമതി നൽകുകയുള്ളൂ. വസ്തുത ഇതായിരിക്കെ അടിസ്ഥാനരഹിതമായ ആശങ്കകൾ ആവശ്യമില്ല. അനധികൃതമായി കരിങ്കൽ ഖനനം നടക്കുന്നത്‌ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽപ്പെട്ടാൽ 04936 204151 എന്ന നമ്പരിലോ 1077 എന്ന ടോൾഫ്രീ നമ്പരിലോ അറിയിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്‌. അനധികൃത ഖനനത്തിനെതിരെ ശക്തമായ നിയമനടപടികൾ സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നതായിരിക്കും.

Some rumours are seen risen  about opening of a quarry at Muttil Mala in Wayanad. Such rumours are baseless. No new applications are under consideration of District Collector. Operation of quarries is regulated by the order of Honourable Supreme Court. In some areas of the District, the order of District Disaster Management Authority is also there in force. Only those quarries, which purport to operate outside the area where order of DDMA is in operation and possess valid Environmental Clearance, Explosive Licence, D&O License, Fire Force clearance, Pollution Control Board's permit etc will be permitted to operate.  Environment Clearance will be issued to only those quarries, which completely comply with the stipulations and conditions for the same. All conditions stipulated by the Honourable Supreme Court and various statutes will be strictly enforced. So, there is no ground for  rumours or unwanted apprehensions. People are requested to inform about any illegal mining happening within the District over 04936204151 or Toll Free No 1077.  Strict legal action will be taken against illegal mining.
